Off Road Cycles has been operating from its current location in Koedoespoort, Pretoria since 2008.

Since then it has grown at a fast pace, currently being the foremost motorcycle workshop and supplier of motorcycle gear in Pretoria.

Off Road Cycles is owned and operated by Conrad Koen and his knowledgeable team.

Conrad built up this top class workshop and accessories store over the years.
His experience started from servicing his own bikes as a teenager. After servicing more and more of his friends motorcycles, this hobby grew into part-time income and later a full-time business.

Off Road Cycles was first confined to a single garage attached to his flat in Sunnyside, then into bigger and bigger garage space, and eventually moving to its current premises.

It can be said that adventure biking was always Conrad's passion. Some of his first trips were done with trail busters and jeans and not much in the way of spares.
In those days, such trips were done on XT500s and those who could afford riding an XR500.
DT175s also featured regularly amongst the group.

Budgets were small, meals were few and showers even fewer.

 

Most of Conrad's riding experience was gained through bike trips, but his involvement in setting the course for the Swazi 400 gave him insight into off road races and the preparation required for both bike and rider involved in such races.

Off Road Cycles came into existence through a passion for riding, experience in how a bike should be prepared for riding, and what is essential on a long bike trip.
